Iowa DNR Investigates Fish Kill in Northeast Iowa
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is investigating a northeast Iowa fish kill. On July 19th, the DNR Field Office in Manchester was notified of dead fish in Crane Creek, approximately two miles southwest of Readlyn in Bremer County. Earlier this year, 100 new, unique Herky statues were unveiled and placed around the Iowa City area as part of the 3rd generation of 'Herky on Parade.' Mason City woman struck by SUV and killed Wednesday
MASON CITY, Iowa – Someone was killed Wednesday evening when they were hit by an SUV in Cerro Gordo County. The Iowa State Patrol says Jade Danielle Quam, 17 of Mason City, was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy south on Plymouth Road when the SUV struck Jennifer Dawn Buls-Vrba, 42 of Mason City, in the 1500 block at around 6:12 pm.
