Center Grove Boys Tennis Team Poised for Another Strong Showing
Fueled by their past experiences, the 2024 Center Grove (CG) boys tennis team is determined to make another deep run in the state tournament. Despite losing to state champ North Central 2-3 two seasons ago in the final four, and Columbus North 2-3 in the semi-state last season, the Trojans are optimistic for another strong showing in this year’s state tournament. Greenwood Christian Joins Indiana Crossroads Conference in 2025
Greenwood Christian Academy will join the Indiana Crossroads Conference (ICC) in July 2025, amid significant conference realignment in Johnson County. This new alignment includes seven small private schools, such as Cardinal Ritter and Covenant Christian. The move comes as Beech Grove, Monrovia, and others leave for the newly formed Hoosier Legends Conference. GCA's entry into the ICC places its football program in a competitive environment, especially with teams like Indy Lutheran, recent state champions. Athletic director Shon Cottle acknowledges the challenges ahead but sees the overall competitive field as beneficial for the program.
