Hayden, KU alum Mark Turgeon said one conversation changed his career
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A name beloved in the Topeka and Northeast Kansas community will soon be etched in the history book forever. “I got the call a few weeks ago from Jim Dunning and I wasn’t expecting it. It was, a pleasant surprise for sure. I didn’t know how all the criteria worked. I didn’t even know if I was eligible, I didn’t know if I was good enough, all that stuff,” Turgeon said with a smile. “It was great and I told my wife about it right after but I kept it quiet for a while and finally let people know. I have so much love for the state of Kansas, growing up there, playing at Hayden playing at KU and coaching at Wichita State. It’s a great honor to go into this Hall of Fame.”

Please do not remove the cones and drive through the worksite. All you are doing is tearing up the work and most of the time it has to be redone by City of Fort Scott Public Works crews. We have a citizen on video doing just this and will be looking for the person responsible.
