Arlington Raceway staff worked diligently to dodge the incoming rain that was just west of the track to ensure that the entire program got done as well as the NAPA Fireworks, and accomplished it in record time as the rains came just as the last colors hit the sky.

Drivers did an excellent job in all divisions as there was some great racing action throughout the night.

The B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock car feature saw 24 cars start the feature and it was a dandy as Dakota Robinson and Brent Uecker raced side by side throughout, with each driver leading at the line and then trading positions. As the white flag was going to be displayed, a yellow came out for the stalled car of Shaun Bruns who was next to the front wall.

When the cars re-lined up, it was Uecker and Robinson battling again but Robinson pushed going into turn No. 1 and got too high and by the time turn No. 2 came, he had lost several positions. Uecker was then the leader but Curt Lund was reeling in on him on the backstretch and took the high side coming out of turns three and four. Lund was able to nose past Uecker right at the finish line to win the feature for an exciting finish. Matt Looft took third and Luke Trebelhorn took fourth.

Blake Luinenburg made the trek to the track and made it worth his while as he was able to capture the Jack Pines Resort IMCA Hobby win after starting in 12th place. There were a couple of yellow flags in the race, the first when Travis Koester spun going into turn No. 2 and cars behind him had no where to go but into him. There was a multi car crash as cars were entering turn No. 1 when the two cars got together and their drive shafts broke. After the yellow flags, Cory Probst tried to battle with Luinenburg, but had to settle for second and Jordan Robinson took third.

The Coors Light IMCA Sport Compact feature was exciting as well when newcomer Oliver Monson, who started 10th, was able to move forward quickly and win the race. Jason Bolte took second and Dale Gatton took third.

The eXmark Outlaw Hobby feature saw a familiar face in victory lane but it had been awhile. Rod Manthey had his car dialed in as he was able to move up three spots to gain the lead and he stayed there to win the race. Mark Oestreich was his closest contender but he settled for second ahead of Jonathan Schroeder who had started 8th in the race but didn’t have enough time to gain any more spots.

Matt Johnson was in victory lane in the Rice Companies IMCA RaceSaver Sprint feature. Hunter Hanson led for the first 12 laps but after a restart Johnson got around Hanson and and led the remaining laps to win. Hanson settled for second and Brandon Allen took third.

Chris Neisen had a great run in the Arlington State Bank IMCA Sport Modified race as he led part of the race but hard-charging Matt Looft, who had started 10th, was picking off cars one by one to battle with Neisen. He took the run at him and got by him with a few laps left to win the race. Neisen held on for second with Cole Hesse taking third.

Trent Loverude was fast in the Ottomotive Tire & Repair IMCA Modified feature as he led the distance to pick up the win. Clint Hatlestad moved up four spots throughout the race but Loverude had about a half a lap distance on him, so Hatlestad settled for second ahead of Dan Menk.
