After the first round, Braun sits in first place & the leader in the clubhouse, five strokes ahead of Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink. Braun carded a [+3, 75] for the first day and got off to a great start on the front and the back nine. She picked up birdies on the first & 10th hole, both of them par-fours’; she also picked up a birdie on the par three 12th hole + a birdie on the par four 17th hole. Braun will look to close things out on Tuesday in Rapid City from Meadowbrook GC, following her runner up finish in state match play in Brookings this past weekend.
