Cody Johnson Knocks It Out Of The Park With His National Anthem Ahead Of MLB’s All-Star Game

Now THAT is how you perform "The Star Spangled Banner." During the second night of the MLB's All-Star festivities, country star Cody Johnson was trusted with performing the national anthem ahead of the game, which is taking place in CoJo's home state of Texas. And as expected, CoJo absolutely nailed the "Star Spangled Banner." This year's All-Star festivities were hosted in Arlington, Texas at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. As if there was any confusion where it was taking place, considering everything about the event had a country/Texas theme. Following player introductions that quite literally screamed this-is-taking-place-in-the-Lonestar-State (cowboys were lassoing, players ran out of the dugout with cowboy hats, etc.), Cody Johnson took center stage and rocked the roof off the stadium that... has a retractable roof. I guess I could have used a better phrase there. Not only was CoJo on pitch, he was on his A-game. He's one of the most gifted artists on the planet, and he showed off his talent and vocal ability with this stellar national anthem performance.
