Judgment for restitution entered against Pressdee
A $19,743 judgment has been entered against a former nurse who is serving three life sentences for killing residents at area nursing homes. The county clerk of courts office obtained the judgment, which includes $18,900 in restitution payable to the Attorney General’s office, which prosecuted Pressdee, and $843 in court costs and fees.

“Re-Lei For a Cure” is the theme for this year’s Relay for Life of Armstrong County / will be held from noon-10 p.m. June 22 at the Ford City Memorial Park. Event is free / open to the community. Those attending need not to be on a team to participate or attend. Relay for Life is the largest fundraiser of the American Cancer Society. Teams will walk all day since cancer never stops, neither do the teams. Event will include: DJ, food booths, raffles, luminaria ceremony / survivor celebration. Ann Marie Johns, 59, of Parker, Perry Township, Armstrong County, passed away peacefully at home while in the company of her loving family Sunday morning, June 2, 2024. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, at Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora-Fenelton Road, Chicora. A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Shimmons, pastor of Grace Community Church, Curllsville, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County.
