State grocery sales tax is no more in Oklahoma
DURANT, Okla. (KXII) - House Bill 1955, authored by Senator David Bullard of Durant, eliminates Oklahoma’s state grocery sales tax. “The part of it that we eliminated was the state portion of the grocery tax, which was about half of the taxes on groceries,” said Bullard. “We did not eliminate the local grocery tax because your local governments or municipalities live off of that grocery tax.”
