    Two men seriously injured in house fire near Arnegard

    ARNEGARD, ND ( KXNET ) — Two people were seriously hurt Sunday following a fire at a residence near Arnegard.

    According to the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, when authorities arrived on scene around 7:37 p.m., the building was fully engulfed in flames and two men had suffered extensive burns to their bodies. Three other family members were able to get out of the residence without any injuries.

    Both men were transported by ambulance to the McKenzie County Hospital and were later flown to an outside medical facility for continued life-saving medical care.

    The fire is under investigation by the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division with the assistance of the North Dakota Fire Marshal’s Office, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
