Hoeven joins AGT Foods for ribbon cutting on $10 million plant expansion in Minot
Senator John Hoeven today marked the grand opening of AGT Foods’ $10 million expansion at its extrusion plant in Minot. AGT’s expansion adds 25 jobs to the plant and will further support the export of local pulse crops, including lentils, dry peas, dry beans and chickpeas, to countries around the globe.

Fort Totten man arrested after several hour standoff in Grand Forks
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – A Fort Totten man is in custody after a several hour standoff Monday afternoon in Grand Forks. Grand Forks Police say officers from their department and agents with the FBI were searching for Collin Posey, 32, who was wanted on two federal and five Grand Forks County warrants.
Plan For More Wildfire Hazy Through The Week
Fires continue to burn sending wildfire haze across the United States. Monday, July 22 2024 was the first day in Fargo to see thicker surface haze to reduce visibility through the later afternoon and evening. Unfortunately, there are a few more days where surface layer haze will be affecting visibility and air quality across the region. Frankly, fires are not expected to stop anytime soon and haze is likely to funnel across the US through this week and likely the next couple of weeks. Towards the end of this week southerly winds will try to help push some of the smoke out of the area but more is likely to fill back in from fires on the West Coast of the US and the Pacific Northwest.
