GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – A Fort Totten man is in custody after a several hour standoff Monday afternoon in Grand Forks. Grand Forks Police say officers from their department and agents with the FBI were searching for Collin Posey, 32, who was wanted on two federal and five Grand Forks County warrants.
One hurt in crash between pickups on Highway 83 near Minot
MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – A New Town woman was hurt in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday evening on Highway 83 just south of Minot. The North Dakota Highway Patrol said troopers were investigating an unrelated property crash at the same location around 6:30 p.m. and southbound traffic was being directed to the left lane.
Man suffers life-threatening injuries in motorcycle vs. minivan crash near Devils Lake
DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) – A motorcycle rider suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in northern North Dakota Friday. The highway patrol says 56-year-old Earl Miller of Webster, North Dakota was riding his motorcycle south on Highway 20 south of Devils Lake. 47-year-old Jeffrey Bridell of Pembina was the driver of a minivan stopped at a stop sign and waiting for southbound traffic to clear before turning north onto the highway.

Plan For More Wildfire Hazy Through The Week
Fires continue to burn sending wildfire haze across the United States. Monday, July 22 2024 was the first day in Fargo to see thicker surface haze to reduce visibility through the later afternoon and evening. Unfortunately, there are a few more days where surface layer haze will be affecting visibility and air quality across the region. Frankly, fires are not expected to stop anytime soon and haze is likely to funnel across the US through this week and likely the next couple of weeks. Towards the end of this week southerly winds will try to help push some of the smoke out of the area but more is likely to fill back in from fires on the West Coast of the US and the Pacific Northwest.
