Middle Georgia Regional Library (MGRL) has opened its newest branch, the Library Annex, in Macon-Bibb. Located in the Macon Mall facing Mercer University Drive, the Library Annex aims to provide convenient access to library services and materials for the West Bibb community. Woman’s death in Flagler Beach leads to man’s arrest in Georgia, police say
FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. – A person of interest has been arrested in Georgia following the suspicious death of a woman in Flagler Beach, according to police. The investigation began Thursday, the Flagler Beach Police Department said in a news release dated Saturday. The woman who died was identified as Sally J. Byrd, 66, who resided in the Pebble Beach Village community, the release states. Byrd’s cause of death had not yet been determined at the time of this report, police said.

DALTON, Ga. — Former Georgia Senator and Dalton native Dr. Don Thomas has passed away at the age of 91. Thomas' obituary says he passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. According to the obituary, Thomas was a family practice physician in Dalton for 58 years.
