Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown returns home to Arp for back-to-school drive

ARP, Texas ( KETK ) — Just days away from reporting to training camp in Oxnard, California, Dallas Cowboys linebacker and former Arp Tiger DeMarvion Overshown put on his back-to-school drive in Arp.

Overshown, together with his family and friends, handed out backpacks filled with school supplies, signed autographs, took pictures and interacted with kids for several hours Saturday morning at Arp City Park.

He took the time to talk to each kid and parent who waited in the line which stretched through most of the park, signing everything from shoes to phone cases.

Overshown, who played college football for the University of Texas, said it’s always nice to give back to the community he grew up in and share a little football and life advice with the kids.

Overshown and the Cowboys kick off the regular season at the Cleveland Browns Sunday, September 8. Kickoff is set for 3:25 p.m. CT on KFXK FOX51.
