Grease fire leaves behind nearly $500,000 in damages to Mango’s Mexican Restaurant
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - The cause of a July 18th fire to Mango’s Mexican Restaurant in Fargo has been ruled a grease fire. Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson says the fire started in the kitchen of the restaurant, where grease caught fire, eventually extending into the exhaust ductwork on the roof.
Fargo Airshow Continues Today, Tomorrow At Hector International Airport
(Fargo, ND) — The high-flying action of the Fargo Airshow continues this weekend. Event officials say the annual show that features demonstrations from some of the U.S. military’s top pilots happens today and tomorrow at Hector International Airport. The highlight of the show is the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels, whose six F/A-18 Super Hornets will seemingly defy both physics and the laws of gravity with high-speed aerial demonstrations starting at 3 p.m. both days. Trollwood cancels two shows due to high winds
FARGO, ND — The Trollwood Performing Arts School cancelled theater performances Thursday and Friday night because of weather forecasts calling for high winds in the area. A message posted to the group’s Facebook page says “high winds forecasted by the National Weather Service pose a significant threat to our students and staff.” Ticket holders for both the Thursday and Friday performances of The Addams Family will be allowed to rebook a seat for the one remaining performance on Saturday, July 27th. We’re told ticket holders for the Thursday or Friday performance will receive an email with instructions on how to rebook their tickets.
Cease & Desist Order Issued For Minot Smoke Shop
(Minot, ND) — North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley has issued a cease & desist order against a Minot smoke shop. Investigators say employees at Minot Smoke Inc. allegedly sold products that contained marijuana, THC, and other controlled substances. Authorities say none of the products were labeled to show they contained these substances. The order accuses the smoke shop of violating the North Dakota Food, Drug & Cosmetics Act, the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, the Hemp Act, and state consumer fraud laws.

Bismarck City Commission Approves 2025 Budget
(Bismarck, ND) — The Bismarck City Commission has approved next year’s budget, without any opposition and without a tax increase. The preliminary budget is roughly 404-million dollars, and the city finance director says property tax rates haven’t increased and will maintain the same mil levy. That mil level could actually decrease depending on how much Burleigh County contributes to public health. City commissioners are expected to give the budget a final approval in September.
