On June 26, the National Transportation Safety Board released a preliminary report on the crash, which found no pre-impact issues with the plane. A more in-depth investigation is ongoing, but the plane’s structure was mostly “ consumed by postimpact fire ,” according to the report.

The crash also took the life of Melissa Brinkmann, who was remembered in a lengthy statement from her family . They called her a beloved daughter, big sister, mom, best friend, partner and hero.

No information on the other crash victim’s injuries or status was provided.
