David Bryan, founding member of Bon Jovi and Broadway composer, will headline a show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park on Saturday, Aug. 17, as part of the club's 50th anniversary celebration. The Matt O'Ree Band will open, then David Bryan and Friends will take the stage, backed by the O'Ree Band.

Tickets, $30, are on sale now via stoneponyonline.com.

Bryan, a native of Edison, played Asbury Park clubs with John Bongiovi of Sayreville in the pre-Bon Jovi days. Bryan and Bon Jovi recently released the new album, “Forever,” and starred in the Hulu documentary, “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.”

O'Ree played guitar with Bon Jovi during the band's 2015 tour of the Middle East and Asia. The Stone Pony opened in February 1974.
