Freedom football shows resiliency in season-opening win over California foe
Freedom High School’s football team showed it could take a punch and come back swinging in its first game of the 2024 season. During their season opener against Torrey Pines of San Diego at Tottenville High School on Staten Island, a unique matchup that was part of KSA Events’ Kickoff Classic, the Patriots led early, gave up two touchdowns less than three minutes apart but responded on both sides of the ball to move to 1-0.
