Madison Carrig pleads guilty to embezzlements
Vermont Business Magazine The United States Attorney’s Office in Burlington announced that Madison Carrig, 30, of Whitehall, New York, pleaded guilty today in United States District Court in Burlington to two counts of access device fraud. Chief Judge Christina Reiss released Carrig on conditions pending sentencing, which is scheduled for January 3, 2025.
Bennington College Welcomes the Class of 2028
Bennington College welcomed a robust and diverse class of 222 new first-year and transfer students this fall. Twenty-seven percent of new students are domestic students of color. They hail from thirty-three states (and Washington DC) and twelve different countries. Of the incoming class, 6% of students have international citizenship, 14% of first-year students are the first students in their family to attend college, and 32% are Pell-grant eligible. This class continues Bennington’s commitment to making higher education accessible and affordable to students from a diverse array of backgrounds.
