Springfield Public Schools will hold its annual Back-To-School Bash Saturday, July 27th. Director of Family Support Services Dr. Ron Woodard says there will be live music and games but more importantly, there will be free resources available for families such as immunizations, physicals, groceries and 5,000 backpacks full of school supplies.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson paid tribute to a woman killed in a traffic crash at the intersection of Hwy 126 and Route T near Golden City. Governor Parson said in a post on social media that Aubren Dudley of Rogersville had worked for the children’s division of the Missouri Department of Social Services for five years.
Two Missouri women arrested for inappropriate conduct with jail inmate
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control has announced the arrest of Shonda M. Martin, 36, of Bunker, Missouri, and Brandi N. McClanahan, 43, of Ellington, Missouri. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Those on Worlds of Fun’s Spinning Dragons rollercoaster were forced to walk down the ride’s stairs after it stopped mid-spin. Worlds of Fun officials confirmed to KCTV5 that on Thursday, July 25, riders were forced to evacuate the Spinning Dragons roller coaster after the ride stopped mid-spin.
