Job Losses Surge in Washington State Amidst Business Closures and Layoffs

Unfortunately, another business has announced mass layoffs in Washington State.

Under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, an employer with more than 100 full-time workers must provide a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more people at a single site. The notice must be filed with the Washington Employment Security Department.

This week, Lamb Weston filed a WARN notice advising they were closing a facility in Connell, and 379 employees at a location in Bellevue will be permanently laid off on November 30.
