Events set for Memorial Weekend around the Upstate and WNC

A number of Memorial Day observances and events are planned around the Upstate and North Carolina over the three day holiday weekend.

On Saturday, there will be a free admission Memorial Day BBQ from 10AM-5PM at Saluda Lake Landing. Greer American Legion Post 115 will be holding an Armed Forces Celebration Saturday from noon to 6PM.

The 3rd Annual Downtown Asheville Memorial Festival will be Saturday starting at 10AM and is a free admission event.

Country music star Lee Greenwood will perform at the Pickens County Performing Center Sunday night as part of his 40th Anniversary God Bless The USA Tour, tickets for the show start at 40 dollars.

The Spartanburg Memorial Day Ceremony will be a free admission event on Monday and will start at 1130AM.
