Asheville Sandwich Company announces reopening at new Arden location

ASHEVILLE - Asheville Sandwich Company will once again open its doors to serve scratch-made sandwiches to the Asheville area.

Five months after closing its West Asheville location, the sandwich shop will be reopening with a new logo in a new spot near Asheville Regional Airport, owners Kevin and Cheri Mullins announced on Facebook July 15.

When the restaurant closed in February after more than a decade of serving sandwiches due to property issues , Kevin Mullins told the Citizen Times he and his wife began searching for a new location immediately after receiving notice from the landlord.

In the meantime, the shop was accepting orders for Group Trail Boxes, curated food packaged for those engaging in hiking, biking and other outdoor activities. In April, they began taking catering orders for sandwiches while working on getting a brick-and-mortar store.

"We’re nearing the finish line with permitting and can’t wait to officially open our doors in early August (stay tuned for the exact date!)" the post said.

Once the foodery opens, they'll be offering expanded beverage options, an ice cream shop and milkshakes with indoor and outdoor seating, according to the post. The restaurant may be offering pickup and delivery before its official full opening.

"We’ve got a fresh logo to match our amazing eats, but the outside of our building will still sport our original look for now!" the announcement said. "Arden, get ready! We’re bringing the sandwich revolution (and some seriously delicious ice cream and milkshakes)!"

The new location will be at 330 Rockwood Road in Arden. The sandwich company is currently hiring.
