Major Ashford Library project abandoned, director cites rising costs as cause
DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A renovation project to move the Ashford Library to a new and larger space has been halted by the Dothan Houston County Library System (DHCLS). According to DHCLS Director Chris Warren, the library system’s Board of Trustees voted to stop the Ashford Library renovation project and the Ashford Library Capital Campaign to raise funds for the project.
Temporary closure for Eastgate Park pond
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - The City of Dothan reminded residents of an upcoming pond closure at Eastgate Park. The Eastgate Park Pond will close for maintenance beginning Wednesday, July 17, and remain closed until Sunday, July 21.
