CRA opens in Iron River

A new metal fabrication company has opened in Iron River.

Cabs Rops & Attachments celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony. CRA is a metal fabricator and finisher of many products, including cabs and enclosures for a variety of applications and markets, such as mining, construction, aggregate, dredging and cranes.

The company boosted the local economy by hiring local businesses to complete the 7,000 square-foot facility, said Kori Zenz, Iron River Chamber of Commerce membership and events manager.

CRA customers are nationwide, “but our home is here in Iron River,” said CRA owner Don Reynolds.

“We’ve invested in this new building here in Iron River to improve productivity, increase capacity and improve the environment for our employees, and we’re excited to grow with this new facility, with our great employees and suppliers from the local area,” he said.
