Northland College Notes

Batting third for ‘Jacks baseball teamJanesville Craig High School baseball standout Jonjay Arreazola has signed to play for the Northland College LumberJacks baseball team in 2024-2025, it was announced on July 9 by Northland Head Baseball Coach Cal Fougner. With the signing, Arreazola becomes the third member of his family to play baseball at Northland College. Brothers Rian and Keaton have also played for the ‘Jacks.

Arreazola is an infielder who last season batted over .300 with an on base percentage of over .400 for the Cougars. He also is a diamond in the classroom, posting a 3.97/4.0 GPA. He recently qualified for the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) International Career Development Conference (ICDC), while also making the national competition in Future Business Leaders of America.

Arreazola’s comfort level with Northland was a pull, he said.

“I am familiar with the campus and the students that attend Northland,” Arreazola remarked. “During my visit at Northland, I looked around and felt at home. I am excited to build relationships that will last a lifetime. I cannot wait to get on the (field) with the players.”
