The Republican River Compact Administration (RRCA) will hold its 2024 annual meeting at 10:00 a.m. Central Time on Wednesday, August 28, at the Colby Event Center at 1200 South Franklin Street in Colby, Kansas. WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - After more than two weeks of restrictions, the City of Wichita offered further insight into how much water is being saved. When the City of Wichita put water restrictions in place on Aug. 5, they said the goal was to reduce water usage by 10%. On Thursday, the city announced that we’re meeting that goal. The conservation effort comes with the depth of Cheney Lake, a main water source for Wichita, dropping amid continuing drought.
