PORTLAND, Maine — A Flood Watch is currently in effect for areas of New Hampshire until midnight due to rounds of downpours and storms. Residents should be cautious, as heavy rain could lead to localized flooding. Anyone within or near the flood watch zone is also at risk for thunderstorms capable of producing hefty rain amounts. A few of these storms may become strong to severe, with strong winds being the primary severe threat, avoid driving through flooded areas.

Maine's Business and Consumer Court rejected the appeal from project opponent Protect Downeast, which argued that the town's planning board misinterpreted the local land use code when it approved the project.
