Crews fight house fire in central Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire Thursday in central Lincoln. The fire was reported about 2 p.m. near 32nd and C streets. A Channel 8 employee at the scene saw smoke rising from the house. There was also a hole in the roof and in the wall.

Trial set for Gering man charged in baby’s death
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A trial date has tentatively been set for a Gering man charged with killing a 1-year-old baby earlier this year. Tyler Green, 31, plead not guilty to intentional child abuse resulting in death charges, a Class 1B Felony. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
Firefighters battle grass fire west of Sidney
CHEYENNE COUNTY (July 25, 2024) -- Firefighters from several agencies battled a fire west of Sidney near Cheyenne County Roads 105 and 24 Wednesday. At about 1:23 p.m., Sidney Fire Department received a page of a fire west of Sidney with flames showing. An estimated 275 acres were burned in the fire. The scene was cleared at 7:23 p.m. Wednesday.
