JSRHS offers freshman transition program
Knowing that the transition between middle and high school is a significant milestone in a young person’s life, John Stark Regional High School is offering a program specifically designed for incoming freshmen. We are John Stark! is a two-week program designed to provide an introduction to the school, continued practice and development of executive functioning, collaborative and other academic skills, as well as key social/emotional competencies. It is ideal for any incoming ninth-grade student looking to sharpen skills, engage in collaborative learning experiences, become familiar with our work-study practices and school norms, and have fun. Students who have struggled in eighth grade are especially encouraged to participate in the program in order to best prepare for a successful transition to high school. Upon successful completion of this program, students will earn 10 service learning hours.

NH man charged with child endangerment after 11-year-old overdoses on fentanyl
A New Hampshire man is facing child endangerment and drug charges after an 11-year-old in his care overdosed on fentanyl last week. Nashua police said they arrested 31-year-old Tyler Greenhalgh, of Nashua, for felony possession of a controlled drug, subsequent offense, and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.
