    An Editorial appeared in the Daily Press against the use of “fireworks” in a lumber town. we must prevent the possibility of fires.

    1904

    Mose Cohen was found not guilty of keeping his clothing store open last Sunday in violation of the Sunday law.

    1904

    Cornerstone for the new Episcopal Church on Seventh Ave.West and Third Street was laid .The completed church was dedicated in December of 1904.

    1914

    Garnich Block (500 Block of West Second Street) was destroyed by fire. Property was sold to Latts Bros. for a new theater (it was later named the Royal Theater.)

    1924

    The first Air Mail Stamps arrived at the Ashland Post Office.
