Exciting annual events are the norm at ABC Raceways and July 20 was no different when kids took to the red clay track for a bike race during intermission, following a dominant performance by Camerson’s Kevin Adams in the Fuhrman Designs WISSOTA Modifieds race. Adams is certainly one of the region’s most successful drivers, with multiple national and track titles and scores of feature wins. Still, his success at ABC has been sporadic with only two feature wins here, in 2015 in a Modified, and the 2019 Red Clay Classic title in a Midwest Mod. Meanwhile, young driver Evan Checkalski of Duluth joined his grandfather Dennis and father Kelly as ABC Raceway feature winners when he claimed the 20-lap Lightning Storm Graphics WISSOTA Midwest Modified crown.
