The launching of United Way and Salvation Army Round-Up Campaign

    2021-08-30

CHARLOTTE, NC - The United Way and Salvation Army Round-Up Campaign is a joint work of United Way and Harris Teeter. This program aims to help the Salvation Army community.

The campaign began on August 25, 2021, and will end on November 2, 2021.

Even though the campaign during COVID-19 and impacting the non-profit sectors, Danna Robinson, Harris Teeter Communication Manager, is still optimistic that their work will succeed in the end. Considering the campaign is the easiest way to give back to the communities, it should be able to ensure the community to have access to the critical resources they need.

This program's mechanism is to make donations obtained from loyal customers of Harris Teeter. Later on, customers are encouraged to round up their transaction value to the nearest dollar at the time of payment. 100% of the transaction difference distributes to the nearest United Way and Salvation Army command.

The main goal of this campaign is to provide funding for education, health, financial stability and daily needs. All of the efforts help to improve the live quality of the United Way and the Salvation Army community.

Meanwhile, the Salvation Army assists the locals and families in need by providing food, emergency assistance to the victims and affected by disasters, rehabilitation services and clothing and shelter for the homeless.

All stakeholders involved are happy to share the campaign and encourage more people to participate in the cause. The success of this campaign will bring a better life for children and families in the community in terms of basic needs such as shelter, food, health care, mental health service, and many more.
