CLARKSTON, Wash. - Asotin County Fire District 1 and other county firefighters battled a structure fire that spread into the surrounding grasslands. According to Asotin firefighters, emergency crews responded to a structure fire on Poplar Street in Clarkston late last night. Firefighters were on patrol in the vicinity and arrived at the scene within minutes of the initial report.

According to a Facebook post, firefighters across the Lewis Clark Valley attacked a wind-driven wildland fire on Thursday west of Clarkston Heights. Asotin County Fire District #1 firefighters were called after 3 p.m. Thursday for a fire quickly spreading off Amity Lane near Evans and Peola Road. Crews from Clarkston, Lewiston, Asotin and Washington State Department Of Natural Resources responded.

Asotin County Fire District #1 firefighters were called just after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon for a fire spreading fast just off Amity Lane near Evans Road and Peola Road, near the Asotin County Landfill.

LC Valley crews battled a grass fire west of the Clarkston Heights yesterday (Thur) afternoon. According to the Asotin County Fire District #1, the blaze started near Amiy Lane off of Peola Road at about 3 p.m. near the Asotin County Landfill burned an estimated 150 acres before crews were able to contain it.

A grass fire west of the Clarkston Heights and near the Asotin County Landfill burned an estimated 150 acres Thursday afternoon. The fire started near Amity Lane off of Peola Road at about 3 p.m. and briefly jumped across Evans Road.
