    Tight race for District 5 Supervisor with Super Tuesday results posted

    Current Atascadero City Mayor Heather Moreno is in the lead at 50.17 percent and close behind is councilmember Susan Funk at 49.83 percent

    SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — The first results of the Primary Election are in from Super Tuesday, March 5. The highlighted run of this election was between current Atascadero City Mayor Heather Moreno and Atascadero City Councilmember Susan Funk for District 5 San Luis Obispo County Supervisor. The District represents Atascadero, Cal Poly State University (portion), California Valley, Creston, Garden Farms, Pozo, San Luis Obispo (portion), and Santa Margarita.

    It is a tight race for District 5. As of the first results report posted just after 8 p.m. Tuesday, Moreno is in the lead at 50.17 percent (3,717 votes) and Susan Funk at 49.83 percent (3,692).
