NORTH COUNTY — The annual Cattlemen & Farmers Award Day is an important day in the community dedicated to recognizing our local cattlemen, cattlewomen, and agriculturalist winners. At this annual event, there was a delicious barbecue steak dinner with the option of complementing your meal with a glass of wine or beer while the Cattleman, Cattlewoman, and Agriculturalist of the Year were announced. The event was hosted at the California Mid-State Fair (CMSF) in the Paso Pavillion on Thursday, July 18.

Northern California forecast: Gusty winds Friday bring elevated wildfire risk
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Wildfire risk is higher than average Friday for Northern California as gusty winds could help fuel fires. A red flag warning issued by the National Weather Service is in effect through 11 p.m. because of southern winds. That could be problematic for firefighters as they work to extinguish the Park Fire, California's largest wildfire of the year so far.

TLC & Shaggy are performing Thursday, July 25 with DJ Flashback opening the show at 7:30 pm. The concert takes place in the Chumash Grandstand Arena. TLC’s influence spans pop, hip-hop, R&B, fashion, and female empowerment, defining generations. Formed in Atlanta in 1990, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins aimed high. They began working with producer Jermaine Dupri, and manager Perry “Pebbles” Reid suggested adding Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, forming TLC.
