Mild middle of week weather for western Oregon, Washington
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Seasonal temperatures and sunshine remain around the Portland, Vancouver metro area on Wednesday. Afternoon highs will return to the low to mid-80s on Wednesday – about normal for this time of the year. Sunny skies will also continue as haze lingers along the horizon. Clouds will increase slightly along the coast as a light drizzle or two is possible during the morning hours.
Update: Air quality alert issued for Douglas and Klamath counties
On Wednesday at 3:20 p.m. an updated air quality alert was issued for Douglas and Klamath counties. According to the National Weather Service, "Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Pollution Advisory until at least Friday. The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued an air quality advisory for northern Klamath and eastern Douglas counties due to numerous wildfires burning in the region. The wildfire smoke combined with forecast conditions will cause air quality levels to fluctuate and could be at unhealthy levels. Smoke levels can change rapidly depending on the weather. Smoke can irritate the eyes and lungs and worsen some medical conditions. People most at risk include infants and young children, people with heart or lung disease, older adults and pregnant people."
Central Oregon unemployment rates fall in June; Deschutes, Crook counties see job gains

Daytime highs will be in the mid to upper 90s and triple digits on Wednesday, with our next dry cold front set to arrive Wednesday evening into Thursday producing gusty winds and the potential for heightened fire danger.
