Georgia softball: Complete schedule for NCAA Athens Regional

Georgia softball was awarded the No. 11 overall seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament Sunday night and will host a regional for the 13th time at Jack Turner Stadium. This is the first back-to-back regionals hosted in the Classic City since the three from 2014-2016.

The Bulldogs welcome UNCW, Liberty and Charlotte in the Athens regional. Georgia faces UNCW in its first game on Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET.

The regional tournament is double-elimination with two games in the opening round on Friday: 1-seed vs. 4-seed and 2-seed vs. 3-seed. The winners and losers of each matchup will play Saturday. The undefeated team will advance to the final, while the team with two losses is eliminated. Both teams that are 1-1 will play a second game on Saturday with the winner advancing to the final on Sunday. That team will have to beat the undefeated team twice to advance into Super Regionals.
