Georgia baseball is playing its best down the stretch as it hosts Florida in the final regular season series starting Thursday night.

The Bulldogs are on an eight-game winning streak and are in great shape to host an NCAA Regional and can still add to their resume to land a top eight national seed.

“We’ve put ourselves in a good spot but we’re also from where we want to be in the long run,” Georgia third baseman/outfielder Charlie Condon said Wednesday. “We know there’s still a ton of work to be done. We’ve set ourselves up nicely.”

Below are the latest NCAA Tournament projections for the Bulldogs who haven’t hosted a regional since 2019. A top eight seed would mean hosting a Super Regional for a spot in the College World Series if Georgia (38-12, 16-11 SEC) advances out of the first weekend.

Florida (26-25, 11-16) is fighting for its postseason life. The Gators have lost six straight SEC series. Baseball America doesn’t have the Gators in its first eight out of the field.

“Let’s not forget this was one of the teams picked to win the national title before the season started and they’re desperate,” Georgia coach Wes Johnson said.

The Bulldogs currently are slotted as the fifth seed for the SEC Tournament but are still alive for the fourth seed and a bye out of the single elimination first round.

Texas A&M with a 17-10 SEC record is a game ahead and has the tie-breaker over Georgia. The Aggies host second place Arkansas for their final series.

What is the Georgia baseball RPI?

Per Warren Nolan Baseball, Georgia's RPI sits at No. 3. The Bulldogs have played the No. 8 strength of schedule in the country. Georgia is 12-10 against Quad 1 opponents, 8-0 against Quad 2 teams, 4-0 against Quad 3 teams and 14-2 vs. Quad 4 teams.

    D1Baseball's projection for Georgia baseball

D1 Baseball projects Georgia in its Field of 64. The Bulldogs would open play as the No. 1 seed in the Athens Regional, which would include No. 2 seed N.C. State, third seed UCF and fourth seed Austin Peay. Georgia is listed as the No. 7 national seed.

Baseball America's projection for Georgia baseball

Baseball America projects Georgia in its Field of 64. The Bulldogs would open play as the No. 1 seed in the Athens regional, which would include No. 2 seed Southern Miss, third seed Georgia Tech and fourth seed Bryant. Georgia is listed as the No. 10 national seed.
