Jaiden Fields is one of Georgia softball's more veteran hitters heading into the 2024 NCAA Softball Tournament.

The graduate student utility player, who earned her undergrad in journalism and sports media at Georgia, ranks sixth on the Bulldogs in batting average (.301) and eighth in RBIs (17). She is one of four fifth-year or graduate students on the Bulldogs' roster.

As Georgia looks to return to the Women's College World Series for the first time since 2021, Jaiden Fields' name may cause some curiosity with those watching the Bulldogs for the first time: She is the younger sister to former Georgia and now-NFL quarterback Justin Fields.

With that, here's a look at Jaiden Field's career at Georgia and her relationship with her brother Justin Fields and more:

Is Jaiden Fields related to Justin Fields?

Yes. Jaiden Fields is one of two younger sisters to former Georgia quarterback Justin Fields, who transferred to Ohio State after one season at Georgia. He spent two seasons with the Buckeyes before getting drafted by the Chicago Bears in the 2021 NFL Draft. He is now the Pittsburgh Steelers' backup quarterback.

“I am proud to be his sister,” Jaiden Fields said. “It’s something really cool and I admire him just like a lot of other people do, but it would be nice to come out here and make a name for myself," Jaiden Fields told Athens Banner-Herald in 2021. "I have personally put in a lot of hard work to get to where I am. … Sometimes it does get a little bit like, ‘Oh well, I’m more than just Justin Fields' sister.’ My name is Jaiden Fields.”

Jaiden Fields has done just that, earning second-team All-SEC honors in 2023 on top of posting a career .305 batting average. During her sophomore season with the Bulldogs in 2021, Jaiden Fields delivered the game-winning hit to pull off the upset over No. 1 Oklahoma — which gave the soon-to-be national champion Sooners their first loss of that season.

She has also shown her mark in Athens with the Bulldogs in front of her brother, as Jaiden Fields hit a two-run home run in front of the now-Steelers gunslinger during Georgia's senior day vs. Florida on April 27. Justin Fields was also in attendance for Georgia's games in Oklahoma City in 2021 at the Women's College World Series.

Justin Fields of course began his career playing for Kirby Smart and Georgia but later transferred to Ohio State in 2019 after being the backup to Jake Fromm. In Columbus, Justin Fields would become a Heisman Trophy finalist his first season and an eventual first-round for the Chicago Bears in the 2021 NFL Draft. He went 20-2 as the Buckeyes' starting quarterback while leading Ohio State to back-to-back College Football Playoffs appearances in 2019 and 2020 for the first time in the school's storied history.

A third Fields sibling — Jessica Fields — plays basketball and volleyball at Mt. Paran High School in Kennesaw. Jessica Fields is a Class of 2025 recruit and recently picked up an offer from Georgetown, according to her X account, formerly known as Twitter. She also holds Division I offers from Providence, UCF, Georgia State, Memphis, Boston College and DePaul.

    Jaiden Fields WWE NIL deal

In a time of college athletics where student-athletes can sign with companies and organizations to profit off of their name, image and likeness, Jaiden Fields took advantage when she signed an NIL deal with the WWE.

The program, which is called "Next in Line," was launched by former NCAA champion and U.S. National Team Olympic gold medalist wrestler Gable Stevenson four years ago. Per a former WWE press release, the initiative behind the program is to "recruit and develop potential future Superstars and further enhances WWE’s talent development process through collaborative partnerships with college athletes from diverse athletic backgrounds."
