GREENSBORO—An increase for Georgia football and baseball prices appears on the horizon.

Athletic director Josh Brooks told the Georgia Athletic Association Board of Directors that a the school will study increasing the cost of attending game for a football program that won back-to-back national championships in 2021 and 2022 and a baseball program expected to host an NCAA Regional next week.

“We are not going to reseat Sanford Stadium," Brooks said at the meeting Thursday at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge. "I don’t want anyone to get panicked about that…We’ve got to look at all price points.”

He said some prices could be lowered in the 300 and 600 levels.

Brooks said Georgia is in the bottom third in the league in donations and ticket prices.

Georgia and other schools are seeking increased revenue with a proposed NCAA antitrust settlement of nearly $2.8 billion set to give current and past athletes a revenue share.

The school last raised football ticket prices in 2018 when Power Five games went up $25 to $75 per ticket and other games $5 to $55.

The move if it takes effect in 2025 would happen with one of the most attractive home schedules ever with Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss coming to Sanford Stadium.

Georgia reported about $34.3 million in football ticket revenue for this year as of April.

Brooks said that Georgia fundraising brought in a record $113 million this fiscal year and the school is at $176 million of its $300 million goal in its capital campaign.
