Trivia, music and silent disco, oh my! What to expect from Trappeze Pub expansion

Trappeze Pub , a beloved Athens hotspot, is set to expand its facilities following an overwhelming demand for its private dining space, the "Cask Room."

Since reopening after a 2020 remodel, the Cask Room has become a sought-after venue for a variety of events, including UGA department socials, TedXUGA viewing parties, business dinners, rehearsal dinners, and weddings.

The pub has acquired the neighboring shop and will transform it into an additional dining room featuring a small bar and stage, seamlessly connected to the existing dining area.

This new space will not only provide extra seating for busy game days, but will also be available for private party rentals.

"We’d love to be open by the first week of September, although that’s a little bit of a Hail Mary," said Sam Wells, Trappeze general manager.

Trappeze Pub also plans to reintroduce many of the events from its Highwire bar days. Like trivia, live jazz, beer tastings, book clubs, and possibly even silent discos.
