Pumpkin spice season is back! Starbucks has new, old fall drinks in Athens-area stores

The wait is finally over. Starbucks announced its new fall menu would be at stores starting Thursday, Aug. 22.

Continuing to reign as king of the pumpkin patch (no offense Jack Skellington) is the pumpkin spice latte. Alongside the fall favorite are the pumpkin cream cold brew and the iced pumpkin cream chai.

A new drink joins the party: Iced apple crisp nondairy cream chai. Joining it are the apple crisp oat milk macchiato, iced apple crisp oat milk shaken espresso. There are also two drinks that will only be offered to customers who use the Starbucks app: Iced caramel apple cream latte and iced honey apple almond milk flat white.

Hungry too? Customers can grab the new raccoon cake pop, the returning pumpkin cream cheese muffin, baked apple croissant, or pumpkin and pepita loaf.

There are about 10 Starbucks locations in the area, including the smaller branches like those in Kroger. The downtown location remains closed, however. You can find your closest one at starbucks.com .
