Football season is finally here and nothing screams "Go Dawgs " better than a classic tailgate.

No tailgating is allowed in the Intramural Field area. For all other spots, people can set up tailgating spots at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Vehicle parking will be available in open university spaces prior to 7:00 a.m., but fans should keep tailgating gear inside the vehicle and keep the noise down until the official start time.

Parking will also be available in spaces managed by the Athletic Association starting at 7:00 a.m.

There will not be any corporate or "professional" tailgating. That means no:

    • No tailgate can have private security.
    • Bartenders
    • Commercial advertisements
    • Physical barriers
    • Limited access or admission
    • Transactions for service
    • Product give-aways
    • DJ

    Where to tailgate

    • Myers quad
    • North Campus: Instead of 7 a.m., tailgating on this part of campus begins 5 hours before kickoff.
    • UGA Parking
    • Milledge Avenue

To tailgate off-campus, there are still plenty of options including:

    • Classic Center Football Parking/Tailgating
    • Downtown Athens Parking Decks

A regular tailgater may want to own a spot at:

    • TailGAte Station
    • Bulldog Park (RV Parking)

    Grill masters, take note

Charcoal grills will be a best friend on gameday, but leave the open wood fires and chimeneas at home.

Propane tanks and cylinders are a no-go, unless canisters of 17 ounces or less.

    Power up without plugging in

While fans can bring entertainment devices, they will need to supply their own power. Unauthorized use of UGA resources like power and cable hookups are off-limits.

Folded chairs are permitted, but fans should not bring their household furniture.

    Are there restrooms? Trash cans?

Hundreds of portable toilets will be available around the campus on gamedays, along with permanent restrooms at:

    • Tate Student Center
    • Miller Learning Center
    • Joe Frank Harris Commons
    • Bolton Dining Commons

For trash, fans are asked to bag it and either take it with them or leave it at the tailgating area. The UGA clean-up crew will handle the rest.
