The Atlanta Falcons wore shirts for Apalachee High School during pregame warmups Sunday before their season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The team's official account posted a photo with the caption "Our hearts are with you, Apalachee High School."

The shirts had Apalachee's Wildcat logo in the middle and simply read 'Apalachee Wildcats' across the front.

The move was to honor the four victims killed during Wednesday's shooting at the Winder high school, one being Apalachee defensive coordinator Richard "Ricky" Aspinwall, 39.

Students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, were also killed along with teacher Cristina Irimie, age 53.

The football community showed support for Apalachee Friday night, with Jefferson painting Apalachee's 'A' in its midfield logo and not its typical 'J'.

Apalachee's game with Monroe Area was cancelled, and it's uncertain if it will play this week against crosstown rival Winder-Barrow.
