Where to cast a line: 5 fishing spots in Athens
Sandy Creek Park is located alongside the 260-acre Lake Chapman. The lake is available for fishing, but not not on or near the dam and spillway, the concrete platform, in front of the dam, the beach or the boat ramp. Commonly caught fish include channel and bullhead catfish, large-mouth bass, crappie and bream. Fishers are required to release fish that are caught, and the daily limit for bass is 10 and the daily limit for crappie is 30.For people ages 4 to 64, the park charges a $2 fee upon entry and is located at 400 Bob Holman Road. The park is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.

UGArden’s Local Organic Tea Hits UGA’s Dining Halls
