Athens Restaurant Week is coming in hot for its fourth year. With a record 47 area restaurants participating, guests have their pick of coffeeshops, breweries, fine dining and dessert spots that are offering their creations at discounted prices July 8-14.

Though one of the prime motivators for folks to check out Restaurant Week will undoubtedly be the "prix fixe" menus that offer full meals for less money than usual, going out to eat in Athens during the summer can also mean lighter traffic and smaller crowds. Best of all, Restaurant Week is a great way to try new cuisines and support locally-owned businesses.

For this week's Eat Athens article, the Banner-Herald has chosen to list all of the places that are participating in Athens Restaurant Week divided by category.
