4-star EDGE Bryce Davis considering all angles ahead of decision

Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley four-star edge Bryce Davis has reached the end of his recruitment. Georgia will have a hat on the table for the No. 71 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings on Saturday.

Davis has been a key target for the Bulldogs from nearly the start of his recruitment. There has been a lot of deliberation from Davis and his family.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Clemson out front. The Tigers have an 88.5 percent chance of landing the four-star edge. Davis took an official visit to Georgia back on June 14.

Georgia is still very much an option going into Saturday. Davis has a lot of trust in Georgia and has done a lot of work to dive into what the Bulldogs have to offer.

Davis also has an insider in former teammate Jamaal Jarrett , who is in his second year at Georgia.

“It’s been a lot of hard nights and talks with my parents,” Davis said. “Georgia has been on me since almost my freshman year when they recruited Jamaal Jarrett out of here. When I got injured, they stayed on me. That whole staff I have a special relationship with. They’re definitely still in the running.”

Jarrett has played a major role in giving Davis a real perspective on Georgia.

“I talk to Jamaal all the time,” Davis said. “It’s good to have the insight on like that at a school like that. The coaches are going to tell you a lot but they’re not going to tell you everything from a player’s perspective. I have one of my good friends and former teammates I can trust. That’s always good. I ask him a bunch of questions.”

Davis has a lot of respect for the culture and developmental opportunities in Athens.

“It’s the work they put in, they’re going to push you to be the best on and off the field.” Davis said. “The opportunity at Georgia speaks for itself. It speaks volumes for me and my family. That’s why they’re in the spot where they are now.”
