Carson Beck draws NFL draft comparison to 2-time Super Bowl MVP

The 2024 college football season hasn't even started yet, but NFL draft analysts are already hard at work figuring out which players to keep an eye on throughout the year.

NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah is one of the best in the business, and he recently took some time to dive into the film of Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck. Jeremiah even went as far as saying that Beck is Georgia's best quarterback since Matthew Stafford, who was an All-American and the No. 1 pick in the 2009 draft.

However, it wasn't Stafford who Jeremiah compared to Beck. Instead, he laid out why the current Bulldogs quarterback reminds him of former Ole Miss Rebels QB and two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning.

"Considering his size, talent and play style, he reminds me of Eli Manning coming out of Ole Miss," Jeremiah wrote. "Like Manning, Beck excels from the pocket and plays to his size. Eli was a little underappreciated during his career, but he won his first title with a good rushing attack in an offense that required him to make plays in key moments. I see a similar trajectory for Beck at Georgia."

It seems like a pretty solid comparison for a quarterback who is a potential No. 1 pick. Beck had some struggles in his first year as a starter in 2023, but turned things around in the second half of the year. He finished the season completing 72.4 percent of his passes for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

With a full offseason to work on his game, Beck could take an even bigger leap in 2024.
