The grand opening of a new medical office in Oconee County next week highlights the growing demand for medical office spaces in the area.

The building, located in Resurgence Park at 1715 Resurgence Dr., Watkinsville, spans 27,762 sq. ft., with 9,201 rentable sq. ft. still available.

The facility is already home to the Sleep and Sinus Centers of Georgia and the Arthritis Center of North Georgia. This new development highlights the growing demand for medical and professional office spaces in the Athens area.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Friday, August 9, at 11:30 a.m. at the new building, featuring members of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce, the development and contracting teams, and representatives from the medical practices.

"This development reflects the strong demand and growth potential for the medical and professional office market in the Athens area," said Marks Commercial Realtor Brett DeLoach, in a press release.
