Georgia went inside of Sanford Stadium on Sunday for the team’s fourth practice of the preseason. The Bulldogs worked out in shells (helmets and shoulder pads) while some members of the Classic City Collective watched on. DawgsHQ has spoken to sources who were at the practice and we released nearly 1,000 words of scoop on Sunday. Now we’ve got a second batch of intel to share.

*** I’ve spoken to a couple of folks last night and this morning about the quarterbacks and it sounds like Gunner Stockton had a better day than I originally heard. Multiple sources mentioned a tight-window throw to Ben Yurosek that was impressive. He also connected on a deep ball to Colbie Young for a touchdown. I’m also told that he missed on a deep ball and threw an interception, which was a really impressive play by Ellis Robinson by all accounts.

*** Almost everyone I’ve spoken with was amazed by how good Branson Robinson looked. He didn’t get as many carries as other backs in 11-on-11 but it sounds like he made the most of those opportunities. One source told me that his best run came against the No. 1 defense when he made CJ Allen miss with a quick cut and ripped off 20+ yards before someone thudded him up.

I’m also hearing more and more buzz about Roderick Robinson from yesterday’s practice. I initially got the impression that Trevor Etienne had been the most productive back but it sounds like Rod Robinson quite a few chunk plays.

*** Bo Hughley got a lot of reps at left tackle with the No. 2 offense on Sunday according a couple of sources. I’m told that Jamal Meriweather was primarily working at left guard with the threes while Jahzare Jackson worked at left tackle. I’ve spoken with a source who was at one of the first three practices who told me that Meriweather was working with the twos at left tackle when they were there.

*** I keep hearing three names come up on the defensive line and I think folks are going to like it. The name I’m hearing the most is Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins . Everyone I’ve spoken to says he had a really good practice. Ingram-Dawkins had multiple tackles for loss and a couple of sources tell me that he had some strong pass-rush reps too.

The other one is Xzavier McLeod . I’m told that if you just watched Sunday’s practice, you’d consider McLeod to be a starter or in the main rotation because he spent as much time with the ones as any other of those guys. I’m also told he handled himself well.

Finally, Jamaal Jarrett did some good things. I’m told that Kirby Smart was all over him at the beginning of practice and he was a little sluggish. We also reported that he was involved in a scuffle. I’ve spoken with a source since our initial report who tells me that Jarrett looked really good when the OL faced the DL for one on ones. Jarrett got a ton of work with the twos and held his own in 11 on 11. Based on what I’ve heard, I’d say that Jarrett still has some ground to make up to get on the field but he’s on the right path.
